About eta chi

The Delta Sigma Pi Eta Chi Chapter was founded at Cal Poly Pomona on November 16th, 1969, and was recently re-chartered in May of 2018. By joining Delta Sigma Pi,  students are given the opportunity to enter their own professional network with connections from active and alumni members. Brothers of the Eta Chi chapter will always lend a hand to help a brother when it comes to finding a job, internship, and personal support. During the pledge process, and once initiated, the bonds formed within the brotherhood are unlike any other. Our Members involved have similar goals, and interests and always have each other’s back.

National fraternity history

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University by four business majors- Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, Henry Albert Tienken, and Harold Valentine Jacobs. They sought to impact the lives of their fellow business and economics majors everywhere by starting this inclusive professional fraternity. Since then, DSP has been committed to excellence both in a professional and civic sense. Delta Sigma Pi has grown to 350 collegiate and alumni chapters, with around 260,000 initiated majors.

Our Involvement

Ronald McDonald House Charities

The aluminum density in pop tabs is the highest in the can, and donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities are very beneficial. Other community service events for the Ronald McDonald House program, besides pop tab drives, include:

- preparing a meal for families residing in a Ronald McDonald House.

- organizing a weekend of landscaping and upkeep for a Ronald McDonald House.

- Contributing food or toys to the Ronald McDonald House wish list.

- collecting funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
